Arts and Business: Lloyd's A&B innovation Prize

Nominations are now open for this year's Lloyd's A&B Innovation Prize, which celebrates bold, new and innovative cultural collaborations from the last 16 months. The closing date for nominations is Friday 3 July 2009. (Link here for more information ...)
The Prize will be presented at the 31st Arts & Business Awards on Tuesday 24 November 2009 at the V&A, London.
Innovation is the successful implementation of new, bold and impactful creative ideas. The Lloyd's A&B Innovation Prize will be awarded to a groundbreaking cultural and commercial collaboration that delivers unprecedented benefits for both partners and sets an aspirational path for others to follow.

The cultural partnership will demonstrate that it has taken risks by developing an original project, opening up new markets or building new audiences. We are particularly interested in partnerships that demonstrate new solutions through a range of channels and methods that have benefited both the arts and business.

Lloyd's A&B Innovation Prize Criteria

Due the breadth of criteria, judges will not expect projects to cover all aspects, however, in all nominations judges will be looking for:
* How the project has delivered impact in new frontiers
* How the project demonstrates pushing strategic/physical boundaries, through open-mindedness and balancing a certain level of risk, in order to innovate
* How the project has delivered impact in new frontiers such as demonstration of cross-channel / sector / industry / function working
* Sound business reasons for the engagement
* Sound project objectives, a clear evaluation and demonstration of the success in achieving, or exceeding objectives
* Demonstration of tangible benefits such as return on investment and new market / audience reach
* Examples of how the business partner invested in leveraging their partnership with the arts organisation beyond financial sponsorship
* The judges will accept audio/visual material to support nominations. This may be in the form of: DVD / AV Presentation, film / footage / links
